Over the years I’ve found myself collecting coffee table books that speak to me through design, fashion, and a kick-ass cover. I’ve searched high and low for ones that speak to my soul, and seem to radiate my personal taste in their pages, and I think I’ve finally found a small collection that do, and thought I’d share them with you.
Kate Moss // Mario Testino
This is the all-time classic. I feel like everyone has this coffee table book + probably loves it just as much as I do. Filled with photos of Kate Moss, Testino pays homage to Kate through fashion shoots, candids, and behind the scenes.
Nasty Galaxy // Sophia Amoruso
This is one of my favourite coffee table books that I’ve had for as long as I can remember. The number of times I’ve read this through and through, used it as background props for flatlays, or flipped through it when I’m feeling uninspired is endless. The design of this book speaks to my design-loving soul, and I feel like it perfectly depicts how I would design my surroundings if I could. Bold images, fun patterns, quotes and quirky comments are what life’s made of…right?
The Coveteur: Private Spaces, Personal Style // Stephanie Mark
Filled with fashion eye candy, interior design, and celebrity, The Coveteur looks at the creative process and inspiration of 43 designers, models, fashion editors, and others that are defining the style of our times. Showcasing celebrities’ favourite clothes, accessories, and objects in their private, rarely seen spaces.
Influence // Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen
I searched high + low for a copy of this and finally found one on Amazon and was beyond thrilled. This book gives you a little insight in the very private lives of Mary-Kate and Ashley, and as someone who grew up watching them, its so nice to be able to read a little into their adult lives and what they’re doing. Influence is also filled with lots of fun interviews with John Galliano, Diane von Furstenberg, Karl Lagerfeld, Christian Louboutin and more.
Vogue: The Covers // Dodie Kazanjian
I found this randomly at Winners and knew I needed to have it (it was also a huge plus that Rihanna is on the cover). The Covers pays tribute to its endless tradition of beauty and fashion with a compilation of all covers from 2010. Featuring covers with Michelle Obama, Kim and Kanye, Lena Dunham and more, it also includes five framable Vogue cover prints.
